1. Protect your private information
Start with in-app messaging. Avoid sharing your home address, workplace details, financial information, passwords or government identifiers with someone you have just met.
2. Meet in a public place
For an initial in-person meeting, consider a public location, your own transportation plan, and telling a trusted person where you are going. Do not rely on LOVELIQ as an emergency service.
3. Money and financial requests
Be cautious if someone asks for money, gift cards, cryptocurrency, account credentials, investment participation, travel costs or “emergency” payments. Romance scams often create urgency or emotional pressure.
4. Consent
Consent must be voluntary and can be withdrawn. A match, flirtation, date, relationship or prior sexual activity is not automatic consent to anything else.
5. Intimate images
Do not send intimate content you do not want copied or retained. Never share another person's intimate image without consent. Report threats involving intimate images or sextortion promptly.
6. Location
LOVELIQ uses city-level profile information only and does not provide a live-location feature.
7. Block and report
You can block an account and report users or messages to moderation. Blocking ends the match chat. Reports are reviewed under the service moderation process and are not a guarantee of immediate intervention.
8. Immediate danger
LOVELIQ is not monitored as an emergency service. If you believe someone is in immediate danger, contact the appropriate local emergency service or other relevant authority.
